Elon Musk's xAI Plans 'Gigafactory of Compute' for AI
Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind xAI, recently announced ambitious plans to construct a supercomputer in collaboration with Oracle. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of xAI’s "Grok" artificial intelligence (AI) large language model.
According to a report from The Information, which referenced a presentation to xAI stakeholders, the proposed supercomputer is envisioned as a "Gigafactory of Compute." This facility is designed to facilitate the training and development of the next generation of xAI's Grok AI system.
